Why We Love ‘em

  Okay, first off let’s clear a few things up about exactly what WEDGES are.  Wedges in women’s shoes are where the heel runs from the back of the foot to the middle or even further to the front of the foot.  Height of the heel can vary from low to high.  Flats are not wedges.  Platforms are not wedges unless they have a heel that runs from the back of the foot to the middle or further.  Got it?

WHY we love ‘em?  Well, first and foremost THEY’RE COMFORTABLE, a lot more so than most heels.  And while there’s a place for heels when you want to look super sexy and hot, you can still capture that look oftentimes in wedges.  Give yourself permission, girls.  Comfortable is okay!

We love wedges because they’re versatile.  They can be dressed up or dressed down.  Wedges work with jeans or when you’re doing the casual thing.  They can work when you want to dress things up.

Do us all a big favor, too.  Fit your wedges properly.  Do NOT purchase them too small where your toes hang over the front.  Heels off the back on open-heeled wedges is another no-no.  If you’re worried about large feet, you make them look gigantic with little baby too-small-for-you wedges.  Don’t do it.

Oh!  Oh!  Oh!  I almost forgot.  Guess what makes your feet look and feel even more absolutely gorgeous in wedges???  Yep, a pedicure with your favorite killer polish.  I promise.  So help yourself and help to beautify the world.  Get regular pedicures if you’re going to wear wedges.
