How can I tell which JDK doll I have?

I recently inherited a J.D. Kestner doll and am lost at trying to find which one she is. She has a leather body and is cork stuffed. She looks like mold #214 however I found that not all of those are of the leather body. Thanks.

all Kestner dolls will have a letter or a mold number on the back, besides the JDK will be a mold number and a mold size. so on the back of the head you will have it in a stack JDK 214 and under that a 13 or something like that. So you need to double check that the Kestner book show the 214 as having the ball jointed body and not the leather body with the shoulder plate head. The more common shoulder plate is the 154 which is a lovely doll, the 215 is the only doll they made with fur eye brows, so she is very different. so double check the back of the head for the mold number or a letter, many leather bodies were marked with letters.
