Is it common not to feel your Hymen break?

I always thought the hymen was a bit of a myth - in womens magazines it says that many women dont feel it break and that some are born without one. I never felt it break and I never had any blood when I first had sex. But having read some of the answers here it seems that I am in a significant minority - most ppl here said they did bleed and they could feel it break - either during sports or their 1st sexual experience. Is it common not to feel it break at all and not to bleed?

you can break it doing a number of things, using tampons, sports, sex etc. it really depends on your body and your activity. You may not even have needed the hymen to break during sex

another way to look at it is - some people have freckles, some people dont. you arent any weirder if you have either.
